Prior to submitting claims to IFHP, a healthcare provider must first obtain Approved Provider Status and be granted a Medavie Blue Cross Provider Number. It is important that claims are only made using the Provider Number of the healthcare provider that delivered the service.
- Registration can be completed online via the Blue Cross Account Registration page (www.bit.do/bluecrossregistration).
- If a provider works at multiple different locations, Approved Provider Status must be requested for each location in order for claims to be considered.
- Providers should notify Medavie Blue Cross of any changes to business ownership or address by calling the Customer Information Centre at 1-888-614-1880 or accessing the Provider Web Portal.
Registering for Provider Online Access:
Approved Providers can access the Provider Web Portal in order to determine client eligibility and submit IFHP claims electronically. Once you have registered via the Blue Cross Account Registration page (www.bit.do/bluecrossregistration), you can log-in to the portal at http://bit.do/bluecross-login.
